Ambassador Jean Kennedy Smith to create
a society where all people with
disabilities learn through, participate
in and enjoy the arts. Each year
millions of people participate in
VSA

supports the belief that the arts

Alliance for Arts Education

The New
York State Alliance for Arts Education (NYSAAE)
serves a broad constituency of arts
advocates, including educators, artists,
administrators of arts organizations,
parents and interested citizens across
the state. NYSAAE disseminates
information about model programs,
funding and standards of excellence,
develops training models for constituent
organizations, and advocates for arts
education at the local, state and
national levels. Receive the monthly
E-News distributed to 8,000 educators,
artists, policy makers and others
statewide and learn about advocacy
networks.

Services (BOCES)

BOCES is
a public organization created by the New
York State legislature to provide shared
educational programs and services to NYS
school districts. The BOCES Arts in
Education Coordinators Statewide Network
is comprised of BOCES and large city
Arts in Education Coordinators. Network
members meet on a regular basis with the
State Education
Department to foster support for arts in
education programming and to align
programs with the Learning Standards and
